CVRD backing South Cowichan museums

SOUTH COWICHAN – MalahatMuseums in South Cowichan are poised to get a boost from regional leaders.
A lease for the former Mill Bay United Church at Shawnigan Lake-Mill Bay Road and the Trans-Canada Highway is close to being finalized, while a 20-year lease for Shawnigan Lake’s museum building is almost ready for inking, explained Brian Farquhar, Cowichan Valley Regional District’s parks and trails manager.
He’s working with volunteers with the Bamberton, Mill Bay-Malahat and Cobble Hill historical societies completing their business plan toward a pending lease for the little white church owned by the CVRD. Read Full Story >
