You’ll Love Our Distribution!
In the good old days, people bought their favourite newspapers on the street, at the corner store or had them delivered to their homes. These days, millions of Canadians continue to read print editions of newspapers. In fact, they prefer the print edition (57 per cent of newspaper readers read only a printed newspaper, 34 per cent read print and online and 9 per cent read newspaper websites only) but fewer people actually pay for their news.
This has led to the development of quality free-distribution newspapers. Most use door-to-door carriers or rely on readers to pick up a paper at a newsstand. However, the South Cowichan ECHO uses Canada Post for guaranteed delivery of over 6000 copies, ensuring that every household, business and farm in Cowichan Bay, Cobble Hill, Mill Bay receives their copy free of charge.
If you are in this area and don’t receive your paper in the mail, please let us know!
As well, copies are available on newsstands for tourists, visitors and out-of-town shoppers in parts of Duncan and Shawnigan Lake.
And, of course, the South Cowichan ECHO is available in its entirety online, here as a PDF.
